By Air
Bristol is accessible by air via Bristol International Airport (BRS) or London Heathrow Airport (LHR). Bristol Airport, 8 miles from the city, has direct flights from Europe and UK cities.
From Heathrow (100 miles away), take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington, then a train to Bristol Temple Meads, or a direct coach.

Train
Bristol is well-connected by train, with Bristol Temple Meads as the main station. From London Paddington, take the Great Western Railway (GWR) service, which reaches Bristol in around 1 hour 30 minutes.
Other direct routes connect Bristol to cities like Birmingham, Cardiff, and Exeter.

Getting around Bristol
The best way to get around Bristol is by walking.
However, Bristol also has buses, trains, bikes, and ferries. The bus network, including the MetroBus rapid service, covers the city. The Bristol Ferry runs along the harbour. Cycling is popular, with many dedicated lanes and e-scooters available.
